I have bought a mattress in a box. Do I need to open it straight away?
Failure to open your mattress within four weeks of its deliver will result in your mattress not expanding to its full flat size. This in turn will lead to your mattress not providing you with the comfort you expect, and your guarantee will be void. Ideally, you should open your mattress at once, but certainly no later than four weeks. When you are ready to open it, carefully open the plastic packaging then remove and unroll your mattress. You will need to wait a few hours for your mattress to regain its original size and depth. We strongly recommend opening your package in a well-ventilated room (windows open) due to the ‘new’ smelling odour that will be clear upon opening. This smell is perfectly normal and will disappear within a couple of days.
