What fillings are used?
Their 300-acre farm is home to a flock of Texel, Wensleydale, Zwartble and Suffolk sheep providing wool and Angora goats providing mohair. Hemp and flax fibres are also produced and processed on site before being transported to be carded and blended with other natural materials to make 100% natural upholstery fillings.
Can I put my new Harrison Spinks mattress on any base?
Providing your base is in good condition and is the same size as your new mattress, then yes, it is possible to use your existing base. Please note - if your new mattress is to be placed on a slatted base, the gaps should be no more than 75mm (7.5cm) apart. If your base is damaged in any way, it could be detrimental to your new mattress and invalidate your guarantee. How do I look after my new product?
Your Harrison Spinks mattress should be seen as an investment. It is a good idea to air your mattress regularly by leaving your duvet folded back for a few hours each day. A waterproof protector may be used but will reduce the benefits of sleeping on a natural mattress surface and may lead to damage through condensation. A soft brush should be used to remove dust from your mattress every few months. We do not advise using a vacuum cleaner as this can displace the natural fillings. Spillages should be absorbed immediately using a dry cloth or blotting paper. A damp cloth and mild soapy solution can also be used sparingly. Our bed experts are on hand to advise you further.
Do I need to turn my mattress?
Your new investment will clearly indicate whether or not it needs to be turned or rotated. In addition, non-turn mattresses feature a sticker on the underside to indicate they are a non-sleeping surface.
