What is the difference between a platform top and sprung base?
A platform top divan base is a solid base that is made from wood and provides a firm and stable base for your mattress. A Sprung divan base has either pocket springs or open coil springs which provides a more flexible base for your mattress while offering a more cushioning feel.
What is the depth of this mattress and base together?
The mattress is 24cm and the base is 41cm making a total of 69cm.
Do I need to turn this mattress?
This is a turnable mattress, which means you need to turn the mattress over and should rotate from head to toe on a regular basis to ensure even use.
Does this divan include a headboard?
No this divan bed does not come with a headboard so you can choose the style you prefer from our range of Sleepeezee headboards.
Is this mattress suitable for a back sleeper?
Yes, this mattress is a medium to firm tension and suitable for back sleepers.
Does this mattress have an odour?
As with all mattresses, there may be a slight smell when first opened. We liken this to a new car smell, which is non-harmful and will disappear within a few hours.
Does this mattress adhere to CRIB 5 / Ignition source 5 standards?
This mattress has been tested to pass UK Fire Regulation 1988, this test reduces the risk of ignition and can be used for commercial use such as in a B&B or hotel.
This is a stunningly beautiful bed but, unfortunately it is way too high for me to get into and, had I noticed this before we unpacked it I would have returned it untouched. This doesnt detract from the bed though. Its so well made and the drawers are solid, roomy and open easily. The base is very deep and so is the mattress and, as Im disabled Ive bought a stepper that I hope will help. The two men who delivered it were so nice and helpful and made us laugh on what was a truly bad rainy day. I would definitively deal with Land of Beds again
Excellent service from start to finish. Great communication regarding delivery. Item was brought into my room of choice as requested. The product is exactly as described and we are extremely happy with the quality. The mattresses are very firm and took a few weeks to get used too. We do have to turn them once a week to maintain the level of firmness. I would definitely say we are having a much better nights sleep now. I would highly recommend Land of Beds, they are professional and reliable and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
